Thanksgiving 2009

We spent Thanksgiving at the Hallam family in Ames. The kids made handprint turkeys as place holders. They also made a tree of thanks, which you might be able to see in the background on the window. They all had a great time playing with cousins and grandparents and aunts and uncles. Fun to have so much attention.

I am grateful for family.

I am grateful for good food.

I am grateful for the ability to laugh and feel good inside. I don't smile and laugh enough. But I feel great when I do.

I am grateful for naps.

I am grateful for scriptures.

I am grateful for a wonderful husband.

The after-dinner entertainment was excellent. My kids colored these pioneer puppet/masks. Annabelle wrote a script all about pioneers. She assigned parts, and the girls memorized their lines. So cute.

I am grateful for the cute things little kids do. They can be great entertainment.

I am grateful for little babies who can fall asleep by themselves.

Annabelle played a few songs on the piano. Jonah played the guitar and wowed everyone at how well he can play for a 6 year old who has only had a few months of lessons.

Here is a clip of Annabelle doing a little skit. Uncle David prepped her for this.

I am grateful for the cool summer and warm fall this year.

I am grateful for our new house; plenty of room for everyone.

Annabelle, Grace, Olivia and Saffi took turns dancing, wearing dress-up clothes. Too cute.

Here is video clip of Annabelle dancing with Saffi, and another of Olivia dancing.

I am grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I am grateful to be alive and to be a mother!

What a fun thanksgiving! Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
