Day-to-Day

Jonah's morning chore is to empty the cups from the dishwasher and put them away in the cupboard. He takes a really long time to get the chore done. This is why:
Over Thanksgiving we stayed an extra day until Jennifer finally had her baby! So we got to go see her and little Evan in the hospital before heading home.
This huge box kept us entertained for the 2 days after Thanksgiving at Grandpa's. The kids cut the doors and added the top trim, painted the whole thing, and had lots of fun playing in it.
Oliver and Finneas would steal food off each other's tray.

Jennifer had her baby Evan on Nov 26. That evening we drove back to Iowa. We stopped and stayed the night in Ames. So Saturday the 27th we got to play with Grandma and Grandpa and cousins too! Grace said to Grandma: "Will you help me find Grandpa 'cause you're my BFF?" Later, "I sure want to say goodbye to my BFF!" After lunch we watched Justus and David and Brian blow up some pumpkins and a chicken in the backyard. We drove home to see Ezra again! Yah! We missed him. We listened to Magic Treehouse series on CD while driving.

Nov 28th we set up the Christmas and put lights on it. We turned off all the house lights and the kids danced in the light from the tree with Christmas music in the background. Magical!
The kids have been saying "Yes Mom!" all day to earn more warm fuzzies and fill up our jar.

Nov 29th was the first snowfall of the year. Just a few flurries. It is very cold and windy. The kids went out to play in the snow anyway. The snow is not really sticking to the ground, but there are a few 'drift' spots where snow has collected. The kids got down snow shovels and gathered as much snow as they could to fill the shovel. I guess they think they are shoveling snow. When they came in Annabelle made hot chocolate for everyone.

I love what your children were able to do to that box. They are so creative and talented!
