School's out! Summer is here! Since we've had all this great summer weather, we thought we'd make a trip to the lake to swim on the beach. It's only 15 minutes away. Finn loved exploring the sand. He ran his hands through it and ate some, too. He enjoyed splashing in the water.
The rest of the kids had fun playing on this turtle float. It has appendages so all can hang on if they want. They enjoyed making water paths in the sand.
We were the only ones there most of the time. I thought it was funny when they decided to play hide and seek. Where do you hide? There were no beach umbrellas, lawn chairs, tables, trees, no strollers, no nothing... except lots of flat sand and water. That game didn't last long.
What a great day. We'll have to go back more often.
