Banana Bandaids, Favorite Colors, and Card-Making

Getting ready to take Grace to preschool:
Olivia playing dress-up:

Curious Finn:
Olivia says she has an ouwie and needs to put a banana on it. Wait, what's it called again? Oh, bandaid, not banana.

Olivia's favorite color is orange. She uses an orange plate at lunch, orange cup and orange spoon or fork. No one else is allowed to use the orange ones. Oh, she says now her favorite color is white. Now it is red. Now lellow. Now orange. Apparently it changes by the second.

Grandma Susan sent blank greeting cards for the kids to decorate. She sent some pretty ribbon, stickers, and cutouts to use. She also said she would buy the greeting cards from us after they are made. Well we love projects and crafts anyway, but with that added motivation, the kids went wild with card-making! The table was strewn with all kinds of supplies, the floor too. This was a perfect project for getting out of school 2-hours early due to blizzard conditions. They want to show off some of their work:
Sorry you have to turn your head to see these. I helped with the project by cutting coordinating background paper the right size. And by demonstrating how to use only small swirls of glue instead of large gobs of glue that make the paper warp. We recycled some old cards to make cute, new ones (as in the chick card). Jonah, of course, was not content with just gluing on cutouts. He had to express his creativity, as you see in the fingerprint caterpillar card. Annabelle and Grace were happy to glue on colorful, girly type things like butterflies and flowers. Olivia joined in, too, and made a few. Hers didn't make it to the "cute ones we want to show off" pile, though.
So that's probably too much detail about card-making that you don't care so much about. But we had a very fun afternoon doing it and wanted to share. Cleaning up was another adventure I won't share. You might be able to imagine.

I can imagine the fun you had and you are a great mother and it sounds like you had so much fun. The cards all look so professional and I have to admit that one of my favorites was the caterpillar.

I forgot to mention on the last post that it must be so nice to have Ezra home in the mornings with all the snow that needed shoveling.
