Annabelle started Jr High this year at North Central Jr High. Her bus comes 40 minutes before the elementary bus, so I missed getting a picture of her. She had orientation yesterday to figure out where all her classes are and practice her locker combination and meet all of her teachers.
Annabelle's biggest stress about starting Jr High was figuring out room locations and a locker combination. Once she learned the layout of the school and how the rooms are numbered, she realized that won't be a problem. To prepare for having a locker combination, she asked to purchase a lock so she could learn the pattern of how it works. Worry no more. As the first day of school approached, the stressed turned to having every school supply detail ready to go, down to the PE shirt ready with her name written on it. We were told that cross country started the first day of school, but did not get any other info about it, so that remained a stress. We didn't get that email about cross country until the first day of school. Now that we are one day in, I think we are good to go. Annabelle is a very responsible girl, eager to learn, organized, always on top of things. She will have a great year!
Finn started preschool 2 weeks later. Those two weeks with no one to play with was rough! But Finneas is now big kid at preschool. He goes M, W, F from 9-11:30. He knows the routine of hanging up backpack, washing hands, finding his name tag on the board. His teachers are Mrs Tomash (Toe Mash) and Mrs Jensen, and sometimes Mrs Beckler. Great teachers! His first day they went on a field trip to the park. Gavin is still in preschool with him. Finn did not want his picture taken on the first day of school, so this is the best I could get.
