We put birthday candles in our breakfast - brown sugar biscuits. We didn't think that the hot biscuits would melt the candles from the bottom! Woops! We had to dig the wax out.
Finn wanted to open Grace's presents. He wanted it to still be his birthday.
Grace took mini donuts to her class to share. She was disappointed I still made her do homework and practice piano on her birthday. But she didn't have to do dishes or other chores.
Grace's birthday party!
Claire Floss, Riley, Mary, Ridley, ? Grace, Grace Anderson
We played pin the beak on the swan, Duck Duck Swan, and watched "Barbie of Swan Lake."
Ezra's birthday was the next day - Sunday. He wanted to make raspberry pancakes for breakfast. Yum!
Finn hit his head on the counter running through the kitchen. It bled only a little, but the slow oozing continued church. During sacrament meeting Finn was crawling under the chairs when we noticed blood running down his face! He must have knocked it again. Ezra took him to the ER, but it finally clotted by then, so no treatment there. Finn remained cheerful through all of this. They were back to church by RS/EQ.
In the afternoon the kids made birthday cards for Ezra. Ezra made tons of cupcakes to take to work tomorrow. Red velvet of course. We had some, too, to celebrate!
